Foul

Hey I'm home. My room smells. I don't know where does the smell come from. Perhaps from my towel. Yikes this is getting fouler. The window is open and I've sprayed the room with air freshener that my mum thought was hers coz ours are just the same but the smell doesn't go away.

And my room is such a mess too. Dirty clothes are everywhere. Washed clothes are also everywhere. I can't recall which are which.

I wanna catch up with How I Met Your Mother when I have some free time. Slappetiser got me hooked the other night. That's why.

I was supposed to be going out somewhere and grab something after Isya' but I can't resist the comfort of lazing around in your much missed room. I've missed my room. And the kids (my housemate's), their mummy (my housemate) and TV. Not to forget, my bed.

Later.

Barakallahulakuma... :)

In the blink of an eye, my sister has been married for one month! How time flies when you are having fun! HAPPY ONE MONTH ANNIVERSARY, KAKAK!!!

Feels like it was yesterday when my sister was picking her wedding dress, trying her heels, taking me out for last treats before her status changed, her then fiance coming over to our place with his mum and the soft pink-enveloped wedding cards with conjoined maps from the bride's to groom's place (cuteness!), close friends and relatives coming over and helping out with the preparation and decoration, me competing with abang on who package the goodies bags faster before falling asleep half the battle, and mum going places extending the invites, to list a few.

And then came the merry big day. Long time no see friends, onetime neighbours from quondam neighbourhoods, late father's good friends, mum's often-mentioned-but-never-met-in-person acquaintances and relatives, abang's school friends and colleagues, and kakak (the bride)'s friends from primary to RHB -- all of them came to honour the bride, groom and family and celebrate the beautiful union together.

Marriage is indeed a beautiful union of two people. I am grateful to Allah for uniting my beloved one and only sister with her husband and making her the happiest newlywed.

If you were there in flesh on and/or after the wedding day, you could witness how happiness was radiating out of my sister.

I love you, kakak! I wish you a lifetime of happiness, love and a fulfilling journey with your other half. :)

And welcome to the family, Abang Syuk!

I now have a brother-in-law.

How-do-you-do?

I've missed my BLOGGG!!! I wonder if my blog missed me too! Do you, blog?

On a separate note, I'm currently reading From Dead Broke to Cash Rich as you can see on the widget next to this post. Nicholas Sparks' Dear John has been long abandoned. Seems like I've lost interest in fiction.  Am I entering adulthood?

ps: I will blog about my beloved kakak's wedding next! Love is in the air. :)

New Calendar

Bismillahi walhamdulillah...

Happy New Year!

If 2011 was my sister's year of going back and forth hospitals, 2011 was my year of moving in and out places. A lot.

Packing home for good from much loved Garden of Knowledge and Virtue (now my alma mater ;p), from grandma's to new abode, staying at my sis's place for a week before checking in to my own rental house for six months and then moved out to a new one on the last day of the year. It's a lot of hassle and energy. Packing and unpacking. Loading and unloading. And then the next thing you know, your handphone charger is missing and you can't recall in which box did you chuck your nail clipper.

But it's worth it in the end. I mean after you've properly unpacked and settled down. Like what I'm having right now. Bliss.

Last year also marked various life-changing episodes in my journey to meet my Creator. Finished my first degree, went for first job interview and got the job, got my full driving license and met a person I clicked instantly, to list a few.

The last day of the year marked 7 years of my father's death. A lot has happened since he left us. We've been through thick and thin and I guess this is probably the best time we ever had. Pray he's having a blessed time there too. Amiiin.

I really have a lot to be grateful for.

Allow me to conclude the year 2011 with the beautiful word of ALHAMDULILLAH... :)

"Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?" (QS Ar-Rahman: 16)

May this new year bring us closer to Him.
